Wow, I am dismayed to see so many negative comments concerning the Galloway Police Department. I am not a resident of Galloway however I do operate a commercial janitorial company in the area and will I don't know anyone personally I have had occasion to call on the place for various reasons over the past few years and have also been stopped and questioned in the area, from the dispatch to the officers responding to the calls or stopping me no one was anything but extremely polite, professional and very helpful.
They are very mean I asked if the skate park is open and why all the cop says is "no" then hangs up. They are also the type of cops to abuse there power. All they care about is how much money they make at the end of the day.
I was visiting my son on 7-1-17 on Upland Ave when I witnessed a Galloway Township Police car(black charger) at 6:00 PM speeding in excess of 50 miles per hour on Upland Ave during a call with sirens and lights blaring. This is 100% unacceptable in a residential neighborhood with children outside playing. As the black charger rounded the corner it was on 2 wheels and continued SPEEDING down Upland to Pitney. LMAO the cop had to wait for traffic - so he didn't get to his destination any faster. WTAF is wrong with his police department?????? As a retired paralegal of 30 years, this cops action in speeding where unlawful PERIOD. There was absolutely no consideration given to the residents of Upland Ave with children outside playing. Suppose that cop would have rolled his vehicle - my grandsons where right there! I'd be having his head and ass on a silver platter! That's a given! Learn to drive within the4 limits of the law or stay the hell off the streets before you kill some one!
