The service is great! I've had things with untreated stains that had sat for a long time and they were able to get them out. The alterations have always been great and timely; pants, dresses, and even jackets have been altered with such skill that the only difference after is the fit. I've also brought things in and had the seamstress tell me that what I asked for was possible, but that it may not hold up and advised me against it I stead of ripping me off. I've always been pleased with the service and care I've received from the Village Cleaners, it's rare to find honesty in business, especially to the business's detriment.
I've never had alterations here but they are great with dry cleaning services. Great custoomer service!

I cannot express how unsatisfied I am with the service and quality of the work. Two weeks before my wedding I am scrambling, attempting to find a seamstress to repair the hackjob that was my flower girl dress. After the original fitting, I was told that I would receive a phone call from the seamstress. However, 3 weeks later, that call still hadn't come so I phoned them only to be told that the original fitting had to be redone and that NO work had been done in the three weeks it had been sitting in the shop. Thank God I checked. I brought my niece back and was told a two week pickup date. Upon "attempted" pickup, I was told that I was incorrect and, according to the seamstress, I was supposed to wait on her phone call to pick up the dress. Now 5+ weeks after the original visit. I informed her that I would be picking up the dress on the next business day, Monday. Upon actual receipt of the dress, the crinoline has jagged scissor cuts all around. The actual hem is majorly crooked and the dress was taken in WAY too much so as now it just barely fits. I dropped it off to another seamstress last night who was visible shocked that I had paid someone $65.00 for this.
